Sharon McNamara’s and Paul Palango’s combined passion for cooking and fine dining was the catalyst for the most beautiful and stunning glass tableware to ever grace a table.
What started as a challenge ended up as an inspiration. Sharon, an accomplished stained glass artist convinced friend Paul Palango (writer of non-fiction and investigative journalist) to direct his creative talent toward the kiln. What emerged was a mastery of perspective, imagination, creativity and design. Paul brought to Sharon’s already highly acclaimed stained glass designs, the concept of incorporating pulverized stain glass to produce a plethora of vibrant, rich colours. The result - a table that will reflect the warmth of your hospitality without overpowering the fruits of your labours!
Each original item is hand-crafted (from the first cut to the final finish) and will serve equally well individually or as a dynamic piece of a collection. Each signatured design from the Dichroic Mosaic to the Fish Series, has its own unique personality. As works of art, they are unparalleled, as functional and durable dining pieces, they are commendable.
In response to a great interest for their work, Sharon and Paul established their “world-class fused glass” manufacturing facility in 1999 in Chester Basin, Nova Scotia. Shortly thereafter, Sharon and Paul opened a retail store, “Chez Glass Lass”, - in nearby Chester, Lunenburg County. In April 2007, having outgrown that space, they moved Chez Glass Lass next door to 63 Duke Street, a much bigger location. In July 2007, they opened a second shop in Chester, Sharon McNamara et al, in their old space at 65 Duke Street, Chester.
Come discover tableware, giftware, and home accents that are not only inspired, but will inspire your own creativity!
